“Building Our Future” Capital Campaign

It is an exciting time for Vanguard Music and Performing Arts and the Santa Clara Vanguard as we celebrate 50 years of history and excellence. In May of 2016, we sat down with our board of directors, staff, and a group of select Vanguard constituents for a strategic planning session to lead us into our 50th Anniversary.  During this meeting, we considered our current audience, examined our mission statement, and identified large-scale strategic initiatives that will serve as milestones in the course we follow over the next 25 years.  In forming our future strategy, we identified key areas where improvement is necessary to ensure we continue as a vibrant, influential, and progressive organization long into the future.

One of those large-scale strategies was to create a way that we can directly impact our Bay Area community. As we celebrate 50 years in 2017, we are excited to launch our first ever capital campaign, “Honoring Our History, Building Our Future”. This campaign will help provide the resources we need to achieve our goal.

Our organization’s food truck is lovingly known _50th_Campaign_Mailer_indd___100_as “Miss Amana” and it has served us well over
the last 25 years. The “Building Our Future”
campaign will raise funds to build a brand new,
state of the art, 53-foot mobile kitchen.

Not only will this new mobile kitchen serve the 52,000+ meals every summer to the Santa Clara Vanguard, it will also be used to give back to our community.  Opportunities to serve meals to the homeless, partner with local food banks, or provide disaster relief meals are endless.  It is time to use our resources and support our community in new ways through the performing arts and as a humanitarian.

Our organization grew from the heart of Santa Clara and it is time to give back to our local community. The “Building Our Future” campaign will provide the necessary resources to renovate and update our current facility. Offering music and dance education classes will be the next step in creating a strong bond with families in our area. Upgrading our facilities and investing in new equipment will allow us to more than triple our capacity for performing arts education!

The Santa Clara Vanguard has a rich tradition of strong values and performance excellence. Enriching the lives of the membership for generations through training and experience, these skills and character values learned at Vanguard last a lifetime and shape individuals to succeed in life. The “Building Our Future” campaign will allow us to bring that “Vanguard Experience” to more people throughout the Bay Area and around the world. We will strengthen our relationships with local schools, community leaders, families, and performing arts enthusiast. Our mission is to inspire communities and enrich lives by increasing opportunities for participation, education, and excellence in the performing arts.

The “Building Our Future” campaign presents many visible naming opportunities

This organization was founded 50 years ago by local parents and a high school teacher. Their dreams and passion have grown beyond anything they would have ever imagined. Please join us as we continue to build upon their dreams and change the lives of our members and audience through the performing arts.
