Marlieta Matthews

Marlieta is an expert in the art of movement and a Master Teacher in all technical aspects of the pageantry arts. With her roots from the young age of 11 in drum & bugle corps, she expanded to marching band, winter guard and indoor percussion. Her vast instructional career spans from 2001 through the present. In great demand as a marching and movement specialist, she has taught both state and national championship units too numerous to name, including the Center Grove High School marching band and winter guard for 10 years, the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps, and the Marian Catholic High School marching band and winter guard for 11 years.

Marlieta is entering her 9th year on staff with the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum & Bugle Corps. As a year-round clinician, she also instructs numerous competitive marching bands including the James Bowie Marching Band and Winter Color Guard in Texas and the Cavaliers World Indoor Percussion in Rosemont, IL.
