Tim Heichelheim, hailing from Portland, Oregon, has been involved with DCI since 2004. Beginning his marching career with the Seattle Cascades (2004-2006) he later joined SCV as a member of the baritone/euphonium section in 2007, aging out with the corps in 2009.
Remaining involved in DCI after his age out, Tim has served on the visual team at Spirit of Atlanta (2010-11), assistant caption manager at The Crossmen (2013-15), marched the SCV Alumni corps in 2017, taught visual for the Madison Scouts in 2019, and has served as a member of the Cadets visual staff since 2020.
Outside of DCI, Tim is the Director of Bands at Skyview High School in Vancouver, WA., and is a two-time Grammy Quarter Finalist for Music Education. He holds both a bachelor and masters degree in Music Education from Portland State University. He is the band leader and sousaphonist for the River City Riot! Brass Band, and is the co-owner and co-founder of The 1905 Jazz Club, a staple in the Portland music scene.
