Brian “Chavez” Lowe holds a BA in Music Education from University of Texas at Arlington and currently serves as the Percussion director for Arlington High School in Arlington, TX
Chavez has served as a band and percussion director in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex for 24 years and has been heavily involved in Drum Corps International for a majority of his teaching career as well. Holding varying staff positions with the Blue Knights, the Phantom Regiment, and most recently the Santa Clara Vanguard. He currently serves as an Educational Artist and Clinician for Ahead drumsticks, Remo, and Dynasty Percussion.
Additionally, Chavez is starting his 21st year as a performer with the Dallas Mavericks Drum Line. He is also a member of Dynamic Rhythm Entertainment, which is a high-energy drum ensemble that frequently performs all over Dallas Fort Worth, and to provide community outreach Chavez heads up a percussion trio called Three for All Percussion that does interactive clinics with elementary school children in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
