Cary Cochenour is excited to return to the visual staff at Santa Clara Vanguard!
Cary is an active visual and brass instructor, choreographer, drill writer, and consultant, based in Houston, Texas. He currently serves as a visual instructor with Rhythmic Force Indoor Percussion (PIW), and serves in various capacities with several notable high school marching band and indoor programs across the country, including Seven Lakes HS, Norwin HS, Cypress Woods HS, Jordan HS, Churchill Fulshear HS, and others.
Cary is a proud alumni of Norwin HS, Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corps, and The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps. Prior to his full time work in the marching arts, he served as a math and science teacher in Katy ISD for nine years, being recognized for achievements in the classroom on several occasions. He holds a BS degree in mathematics education from Saint Vincent College, and active teaching certificates in both Texas & Pennsylvania. Cary currently resides in Fulshear, Texas, with his wife, Devyn, and their puppy, Eko.
