A native of Wilson, NC, Jordan is currently traveling and maintaining a full schedule of freelance performing and teaching her virtual private lesson studio. Most recently, she resided in Austin, TX teaching primarily at Vandegrift HS, James Bowie HS, and their respective feeders. Jordan has also spent extended periods of time in Japan touring as a stage performer in several Kyodo Tokyo and MEG productions, including ‘Blast! The Music of Disney’ and ‘One Piece Oto Utage’ playing trumpet, french horn, mellophone, and conducting.
Prior to her career in freelance, she served as the head band director of Toisnot Middle School in Wilson, NC for 4 years. During that time, she worked with several marching band programs across the state, as well as Carolina Gold Performing Arts, where she served several roles including Visual Caption Head, Corps Director, and Midas Winds Director, a WGI Winds unit that earned two silver medals in Independent Open Class while under her direction.
Jordan earned her Bachelor of Music in trumpet performance and Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating in 2012. Jordan was a member of Carolina Crown as a trumpet player and conductor from 2008-2010.
