Zach Peycha Is a music educator and performer that currently resides in Central Indiana. Zach is currently the director of bands at Wes-Del Jr./Sr. High School in Gaston Indiana while also teaching private tuba and euphonium lessons as well as playing with a brass quintet in the Indianapolis area. He was a recent member of the Ball State University Wind Ensemble and Ball State Symphony Orchestra where he performed at various conferences such as the American Bandmasters Association (ABA) National Conference, the College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA) National Conference, the Indiana Music Educators Association (IMEA) State Conference with the Indiana Intercollegiate Band serving as the principal chair in each of those ensembles.
As an educator, Zach was an educator with the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps during the 2023 season where he was one of the tuba educators on the brass team. is currently on staff with the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps where he will be serving as a brass educator specializing in tuba. Zach has also served on staff with various high school programs in the central Indiana area such as Brownsburg High School, Noblesville High School and Western High School (Russiaville, IN). Teaching with these various marching bands and concert band programs, Zach has attended several state finals events, WGI Winds Finals, Bands of America Regional events, as well as the Band of America Grand National Championship.
In the context of Drum Corps International, Zach was a performing member with the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle corps from the summer of 2019 until the conclusion of the summer in 2022. During his tenure with the Blue Stars, Zach was the champion in the I&E solo competition in 2019 as well as being a consistent finalist during the Drum Corps International championship weekend.
